Phased array
Phased array UT, when the procedure needs it.
A phased-array set is not an upgrade to buy by default. It is the right conversation when the scan plan, the geometry or the record you must keep cannot be done with a conventional flaw detector.
What to include
Start with the scan, not the brochure.
Tell us the component, the material, the thickness and the access. If a procedure or scan plan already exists, say which code or internal specification it follows and whether you need encoded scanning, a particular probe frequency, or a recorded data file.
Also say what you use today. Replacing a phased-array instrument is a different enquiry from buying the first one: probes, wedges, encoders and software do not automatically transfer. If you are unsure whether phased array is required, describe the weld or geometry and we will say if a conventional detector is the more honest starting point.
We will not invent a stock position or a partnership. Availability is confirmed only after the requirement is clear. Conventional flaw detection sits on ultrasonic testing equipment.
