Ultrasonic testing
Ultrasonic testing equipment for a stated job.
Conventional flaw detection is the usual starting point. Phased array, thickness and low-frequency work are different specifications. Tell us which job you actually have.
What to include
The job decides the instrument.
Conventional ultrasonic flaw detection is used on welds, castings and parent metal when a procedure, or a practised technician, already knows the probe and the sensitivity. Say the material, the thickness, the joint or component, and whether you are replacing a detector, a probe, or both.
Phased-array equipment is a different purchase. Name it only when the geometry, the scan plan or the written procedure needs it. Low-frequency work comes up on coarse-grained, composite and other high-attenuation materials. A thickness gauge is not a flaw detector: if the question is remaining wall, start with thickness gauges.
We do not publish a detection guarantee or a stock list, and we do not imply a factory appointment that has not been agreed. If a written supply path exists for a named instrument, it belongs on the proposal after we have reviewed the requirement.
